If you’ve never made bacon in the oven before- you’re never going to go back!
Oven bacon is my favorite way to make bacon for breakfast, salads, and breakfast sandwiches. It’s so simple to make and way less mess than on the stovetop!
The trick here is to use a wire rack (cooling rack). Parchment works too, but I find the rack helps the excess fat to drain instead of pool, making it crispier!
Oven Bacon Serves 4
Ingredients: 8-10 slices bacon
To make:
Line a large baking sheet with a wire cooling rack (preferred for best results) or parchment paper.
Place bacon on rack, leaving a small amount of space in between each slice (do not overlap/crowd).
Place bacon in a cold oven and heat to 400F.
Cook for 15-20 minutes (no flipping needed!) or until crispy (check after 15 minutes- every oven is different!).
Transfer the bacon to a paper towel-lined plate to drain.
